Description about Sayaani From Padman Proves Why Periods Is Not Anything To Shame About

After so much hype around the Padman and Padmaavat, Akshay Kumar has shifted his movie to 9th February. The makers have released a new song Sayaani and it’s as good as the trailer. Sung by Yashita Sharma, Jonita Gandhi, Yashika Sikka & Rani Kaur the lovely music is given by Amit Trivedi.

The song shows how a girl becomes Sayaani after she gets her periods. The video also has Akshay Kumar’s powerful dialogues from the movie. The song is melodious and it gives out some positive vibes. Listen to the song right here:

The film is inspired by the life of Coimbatore-based Arunachalam Muruganantham, who found a way to make affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village. The movie is releasing on Republic Day next year, focuses on menstruation and women’s health.

The film will clash with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee’s much-awaited film Aiyaary. The film is directed by Neeraj Pandey who had early directed Akshay Kumar’s blockbuster’s Baby and Special 26.

The film is based on a short story from Twinkle’s book The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad. The story is inspired by the life of Muruganantham, a Tamil Nadu-based social activist who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.

Produced by KriArj Entertainment, Mrs. Funnybones Movies, Hope Productions and Columbia Pictures, the film will release on February 9, 2018.

Akshay, apart from Padman, has films like 2.0 and Gold in his kitty — each different from the other. Akshay Kumar currently is learning Gatka (Indian martial art) for his upcoming film Kesari which will be shot in Wai, Maharashtra.

It is this interesting choice of movies that makes Akshay relevant in the competitive Bollywood world and makes him give younger actors a run for their money.
